We use a double disinfection process (ozonation and 0.1-micron filtration), when only one is required. We do not use sterilizing chemicals (such as chlorine) or remove healthy minerals from our water. Our process ensures that CRYSTAL GEYSER® ALPINE SPRING WATER® maintains its natural spring water taste and benefits.

Because bottled water is a food product, it is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The law governing the bottled water—the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act—requires the FDA to establish specific quality standards. Specifically, the FDA requires that all bottled water companies:

  • Bottle, store and transport bottled water under sanitary conditions;
  • Protect water sources from bacteria, chemicals and other contaminants;
  • Use quality control processes to ensure the safety of the water;
  • Regularly sample and test both source water and the final product for contaminants.

The FDA continually monitors and inspects bottled water products and facilities under its food safety program. Also, bottled water must comply with the individual state’s regulations where it is sold.

CRYSTAL GEYSER® ALPINE SPRING WATER® meets or betters all federal and state regulations for bottled water, and is BRC certified. It also meets Japan’s high quality standards for export into the country.
